Hello I am making this post because my PC freezes on the boot menu. I have taken my PC before to a repair man and he fixed it but it has happened again. If I was to turn my PC of from the wall instead of booting it down properly and boot it back up again it just freezes on the boot menu. My pc is a modified Alienware x51 I have taken the mobo out and added a psu, graphics card and a new case. It costs £40.00 at the shop to get this fixed so if someone can tell me how to do it please do so!

Give your meat a good old rub

Going to need more information than that. You say if you unplug it from the wall without shutting it down properly that it freezes on the boot menu? If so you probably corrupted some system files.

Windows does not like to just have the power go out when it is up and running. If your system freezes DO NOT pull the plug from the wall outlet. Press ctrl + alt + del to try to get to a task manager, if that fails then hold the front power button for 10+ seconds until the system shuts down.

Dropping power to a spinning hard drive can also damage the device.

I accidentally unplugged my pc from the wall socket, when starting it back up it goes on the windows recovery menu screen whilst booting.  It is a black background with white text. You can use the arrow keys to navigate the menu but I can not navigate the menu to boot my pc. The screen freezes and it is impossible to get into my pc. I took it to the shop a couple of weeks ago to get fixed and the man said he fixed it but he clearly isnt. I think it is something to do with the cmos because my mobo doesnt have a cmos battery because it is out of an alienware.

All motherboards have a CMOS battery. Also your issue is because you dumped windows when it was running. You can try a system restore using the recovery menu or fix boot issues, but that may not work.
