Hi All,

Recently, I have had an issue where my computer would instantly shut down, and then instantly restart again. Happened 23/06/2018 which is first time in a while since i performed maintenance on the machine.

In a nutshell, it will shut down, like someone has pulled the power cord, but RGB lights on motherboard stay on, and the system will reboot.

Specs:

Latest Version of Windows 10 Home 64 Bit

i7-7700K (not OC) (Cooled by NZXT Kraken X62)

Asus ROG Maximus IX Code

GTX 1080Ti

2x8GB Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM

Corsair AX860i (860 watts) PSU

C Drive is Corsair MP500 240GB m.2 SSD

I'm still fairly noobish when it comes to PCs, so I don't know which BIOS version I have, nor how to update it.

As far as I can recall, it happens randomly when in Destiny 2, and there is no warning, no error messages indicating it will happen.

Anything that anyone can say that might help is greatly appreciated. Bearing in mind, it happens randomly.

Thanks.

And this started recently, or has been going on for a while?

I would say the first time it happened was maybe a 3 weeks ago. After i did some maintenance on it, it didnt occur for a short while, then happened again this morning

Check all your cables, because it sounds like something is not getting enough power, or maybe a cooling fan got unplugged.
