Help! Bios not recognizing ssd

I start the pc, it goes to Bios, shows my other ssd(which is not the boot ssd) as number 1 and some other stuff as number 2, but doesn't recognize the ssd which would work.

Could you unplug all the sata ports and have just the SSD plugged in and see if it detects it then?

it can't be the SATA ports because the ssd is connected directly to the motherboard.

It's an m.2 SSD? You didn't mention that part. Do you have sufficient lanes for it? Is it properly pligged in and secure? Please double check everyhing. As worst case scenario you might have to RMA it.

yes forgot to mention it. the problem was in the bios settings, had to go to onboard devices configuration and from there chance pci exchange to m.2 mode. it was on auto. but thanks for replys?

Good job figuring it out. I was starting to wonder what the problem was, sounded strange.
