Need help with display brightness

Hey guys so i was Tinkering with my new pc for a few hours now. And i noticed that it’s stuck on max brightness and i cant seem to lower the brightness through the control panel. In the settings i dont even have the option to. 

 

Is it because im using an hdmi port from my pc to monitor? Should i use displayport?  Also im only using my iGPU as i dony have a dedicated graphics card

 

a temporary fix that i have found is that i lowered my monitor’s brightness in the meantime

 

also last question. In the settings under resolution i only have 3 options 

a) xxxx X 1440

b) xxxx X 768

c) xxxx X 200

 

it’s weird i think i should have a 1080p option for my monitor

 

my monitir is xb271hu 1440p 144hz and i have windows 10 home

 

pls help mi
