When I made my loop I never took into account how I’d measure the coolant temperature. The only temperature sensors I’ve seen out there are fittings with a sensor built into it. It’s kind of too late to get a fitting like that since my loop is completed. Is there any other way I could check my temps without having to disassemble the loop?

Thermal camera? Aside from that you'd probably have to take it apart to install a thermistor or a sensor fitting.

I have an infrared thermometer but I don’t know how accurate it really is. Maybe I could open one of the caps on the top of my reservoir and point it at the liquid inside. If that doesn’t work, oh well, at least I learned something for next time

Don’t see you’re ovet concerned about it.

If you installed a drain plug with a valve, put it there and open it and wait for it to normalize the dead zone. Would work well enough. I could prolly buy another one tomorrow and test that out.

You can get film thermistors and directly have it in the fins of the rads, I've done that before and it gives reasonable readings, the most accurate would be a direct fluid contact probe or stopper.
