H500i Vertical GPU Mount?

TheGTXman

Which Riser Card do I use with a H500i for a vertical mounted setup?

This will be my first time mounting a GPU vertically.

I would wait for CableMod's bracket to go back in stock, and then pick one of those up. It requires no case modifications and keeps the card farther away from the case's side panel in order to provide better cooling than other solutions.

I actually just looked at the H500i and it appears that there's already provisions for a vertical GPU mount. All you would need is a PCIe riser cable. It would keep it closer to the glass, but if your card is watercooled or an FE it won't hurt temps.

This is what I had in mind to begin with because I had heard something about a mount being there already.

That cable is fine as far as shielding goes, but it's only about 6 inches long. NZXT recommends a 12"/30cm riser cable. I would go with a 90 degree cable though, which the one I linked isn't.

I think I should be good with a 25cm. Thanks again!
