Microphone not working

Goodman2265

Long time since i posted, I have a Razer Kraken headset (yea i know, not the best)

The mic isn't dead because it works on my phone perfectly fine. I've tried front IO and rear IO, tried plugged the whole headset into both mic port. tried the cable that goes from headsets 3.5mm to two 3.5mm for the mic and headphones.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling realtek hd audio drivers. This lead me to believe it has to be windows causing this problem. I need all the help i can get please

Have you looked in the sound manager to make sure Windows is using the headset's mic as the default device?
