as the title says i'm looking for some really good hdd diagnostic software to use

at the moment i'm using hdd tune pro to test drives . 

if you have suggestions i would really appreciate it

HDD Sentinel is quite good for me

I use HDD Sentinel as well. Love how it supports my HP P420 controller.
The surface tests are also really useful. I am tempted to buy the pro-version.

I always recommend CrystalDiskInfo.

Some tools even when they are well known, cannot read some of the S.M.A.R.T. details required to detect failures on the drives or when just checking the performance and since they were not designed for specific drives they may lack some details, it is better to use the tools designed by the manufacturer just to make sure all data is read properly.
