Can i delete these files ?

hiberfil.sys as far as I am concern is for hibernation mode, if you don't let your system hibernate you could potentially delete it but not the other as it's your pagefile swap... you should have a pagefile (virtual memory) always unless you have an overkill amount of RAM that you don't use.

no, you will not be able to 'delete' those files.

you'll need to shutdown those appz that need those files.

hiberfil is from hibernation/sleep mode

to stop sleep mode

  • as administrator Start> CMD is search, right click as adminstrator
  • new command console appears
  • type powercfg.exe /hibernate off

pagefile size (depends on amount of physical RAM installed)

  • set page file set to 512MB
