new motherboard has coil whine?

i checked to make sure it wasnt the graphics card already and the sound is coming from the top of my case not the bottom, when i put my ear against the side panel its definitely louder near the motherboard VRMs duriing an intel XTU benchmark it passes the test high cpu temp is only 63c at 5ghz

is this just because i have a shitty asus prime z370-P board? or is motherboard VRM coil whine common?, im buying a new board soon anyways i think im going to be getting either a taichi or a gaming k6 from asrock , which do you guys recommend?

Anything that has coils or chokes even if they are solid still have the possibility to whine or make slight noises. It's not an issue at all other than being annoying if you really notice the noise.

If it's overly excessive you can try contacting the manufacture to see if there is anything they can do as some may look into it. In general though with real world loads such as cinebench and gaming does the noise also occur, stress tests do push it harder than what it will experience normally.
