i want to build a new pc that i will mostly use for programming

are these specs good enough?

pentium g4400

4gb 2133mhz ram

MSI H110M PRO-VD Socket LGA 1151 Motherboard

i dont need a discrete gpu since i wont play any games on this

edit :

i am learning web dev so i wont need to run heavy apps like android studio

also i have an old laptop with core i3 and 2gb ram it needs a new drive should i just replace the drive and add mroe ram ?

Technically enough, but why not get some better older-gen hardware?

Also the 4GB ram will hold you back if you decide to use tons of nodeJS stuff at once plus windows. If you're 100% going with this, I highly recommend you use linux.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

Hi, adding an ssd and more ram to your laptop will definitely improve your experience, that's the first thing that I would do, afterwards when you really feel the need you can upgrade to a desktop system with an i7 depending on your requirements, but, for starters you should be good with your i3 :)
