I'm thinking about buying a new gpu my budget is 300$~ to play games at 1080p at 60 fps

Current system:

Cpu:i5-4690k

Gpu:gt 740 sc 4gb single slot

PSU: Coolermaster elite v2550w 

Mb: Asus z9z-p Atx board

Display: Samsung S24D300

Ram: 8gb ddr3

Storage: 1TB Hard drive

Case: Cooler master 912 haf

and a new power supply on top of that. Cooler Master Elite series are rubbish.

A 1060 6GB would be perfect for your budget. It'll pretty much play anything at 1080p 60fps on max or close to max settings.
