Hoping to get some help checking compatibility of the components I have chosen. Also, any suggestions would be much appreciated. I from the UK with a budget of like £500 for water cooling. I already have a system with a gtx1080 and a 6700k I just think upgrading to a water-cooled build would be fun to do, look cool, give room for overclocking and be quiet. I noticed water cooling parts are a lot cheaper on Ek's website and are in euros which isn't really a problem. To make it clear the things I am buying new are the case, motherboard, possibly 1180 and all water-cooling components.

Case - Thermaltake Core P3

Motherboard - Asus ROG MAXIMUS IX APEX Socket 1151 Z270 DDR4 S-ATA 600 E-ATX Motherboard

CPU - i7 6700k

GPU - Gtx 1080 (likely to wait for 1180 or 1180 ti)

PSU - 1000w corsair rm

ram - 2 sticks of 8gb dominator platinum

Radiator - EK-CoolStream CE 420 (Triple)

CPU block - EK-Supremacy EVO - Nickel

GPU block - EK-FC GeForce GTX FE RGB - Nickel (placeholder for 1180)

pump and reservoir -EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 RGB PWM (incl. sl. pump)

fittings - EK-HDC Fitting 12mm G1/4 - Black

tubing - EK-HD PETG Tube 10/12mm 500mm (2pcs)

fans - 3 x Corsair LL140 RGB + Corsair command pro

+ coolant, heat gun and other tools for hardline

How much tubing are you going to buy?

Do you have experience with watercooling already?

What coolant are you getting?

Don't forget the inserts for the tubing btw :)

3m in total so I have enough to practice etc. The most I have done with watercooling  is applying an AIO, I know hardline is a lot harder just it looks so good and I think the process could be fun. I'm just gonna use the basic stuff not sure what brand yet like the stuff that is just distilled water with additions to stop corrosion and algae growth with some sort of dye thought maybe about using UV but not sure. would like to use primochill   vue  kinda thing but it is not worth the build up in the system.

From experience, I would go with at least double that for the tubing as it's always better to go overboard with tubing for when you mess up, especially when just starting out. From having used Primochill vue myself, it's definitely not worth the hassle. Something like Mayhems X1 or EKWB Cryofuel will do nicely but I would also suggest picking up the Mayhems Blitz Part 1 and 2 kit to clean out the system before hand and get rid of flux and whatnot.

One other thing to pickup is going to be this:

It's 10x easier to cut tubes compared to what EK gives you (which is a band saw thing) and then just sand the inside and outside with some 200 grit paper or get the tube reamer.

Thanks for the suggestions!!

Are the rest of the parts all compatible?

Also, your build is insane :)

Yah, I don't see anything that I would change outright. Obviously if you go with the 11xx series then you'll have to wait for the blocks like planned but from an aesthetic point of view you could add a solid backplate from EKWB as well for the GPU as they add a bit of extra pop :)

Thanks, been a long time in the making :D

ye might just go ahead and watercool the CPU and add the GPU later.

OH! I know what I forgot

You'll need a T splitter, Male-Male spacer, and ball valve. Gotta be able to drain the loop :D
