You can't. You need to back-up your data, replace the drive, re-create the RAID0 and copy the data back. 

 

This is by design. RAID0 isn't meant for redundancy or data protection, just for speed.

 

If you want the ability to change drives easily, choose a RAID1 which will cost you 50% capacity.

Any reason you went with RAID0? Even a single 4TB drive can easily saturate the gigabit ethernet link. Or do you need the capacity? (If so, JBOD would've been sufficient).

i actually need to check if i went with raid 0 but i think its raid 0 because i wanted to increase the capacity and i wanted to have a side backup. Last time when i took the drive out, i couldnt see my data on the system so thats basically showing its a raid 0 system, right? jbod would show the data still even its left alone.

Shutdown your NAS and contact QNAP tech support.  They might have some suggestion for you.

 

That's one of the reason why you buy an off-the-shelf NAS solution because you are getting support with it.

 

They might ask you to try cloning the bad hard drive to a new hard drive using Clonezilla.
