USB troubles

Go to solution Solved by itisme911,

Is the port you are trying on now a 3.0 port and does the hub work on another computer? Remember to make sure windows is up to date installed etc. New installs can sometimes take time to "settle" too. . other than that I don't know.

I've been having some usb issues in the form of my 3.0 hub not wanting to function as it used to. I have a 4 port 3.0 hub that used to have no issues whatsoever and I could happily plug in 4 high end peripherals at a time, and then I reinstalled windows, this is on my main machine in my signature for reference. I've already tried to uninstall the hub drivers (didn't do anything), disabling different usb devices for possibly more bandwidth (didn't work), and uninstalling the intel usb ECHI drivers (also to no avail). I'm not sure if my final usb port is starting to go out as the others have, does anyone know of anything else I can try?

If other ports have died you may be pulling too much? Honestly I cant be sure though. Make sure windows is updated and you have updated drivers. Try deleting the hub from your device manager when it is unplugged and plug it back in.

I've already tried deleting the hub from my device manager when plugged in and when not, also the others have only died half way due to a hardware issue when I was repasting, but the good one functioned perfectly until I reinstalled windows.

Yes, all of my ports are 3.0 ports, also I doubt that windows updates are the problem, but I'm doing this one last update now to confirm.

I have seen issues from the bios stopped working all the way to non stable transfer rate. What is the problem?

Windows is throwing up an insufficient resources error when I use more than 1 high end peripheral.

i have a question.

when did usb ports break? i googled your cpu and that was released in Q1 of 2015.. so why didn't you use the warranty when the usb ports broke? (unless it was outside of warranty of course in which case ignore my point)

Wow, I never thought that windows would be limiting my usb bandwidth until I updated, such a stupid issue. Thanks for the suggestion, everything is working now.
