I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually considering a custom loop for my system (processor and graphics). I understand all of the hardware I'll need with the exception of my MSI 7950. From the research I've done, I've been able to determine that my particular 7950 has a 7970 PCB which makes finding a cooling plate for it that much harder.

Here's a Newegg link to check it out:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127667&IsVirtualParent=1

And this is the model no.

If I can't find a cooling block for it, I'm not doing watercooling since the 7950 is the biggest noisemaker in my machine anyways. Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't get a block from them, but EK has a compatibility checker that you can enter your hardware in and they tell you which blocks they have that would work and how they verified it. If the blocks that show up are not labeled in such a way that you can confirm they are custom designed blocks, you've got a reference card.

I ran your model through their check and standard 7950 blocks are showing up so any 7950 block should work. If you want to get an EK block, then I suggest you only look at copper ones. EK had a nasty issue with their nickel plating in the past and there are questions as to whether or not they still occur. A number of people on overclock.net have said they still do. I would look at Heatkiller. Their blocks are designated 79x0 so they should work with your card regardless of which PCB design you have as long as they are reference designs which I'm pretty sure you have.

That was a link to my actual video card not a water block.

Also I figured I'd add that I have 6+8 pin power connectors on my card. It's not just two 6 pin which leads me to believethat this is the right VGA fullcover I should be looking at?
