PC headset suggestions

I'm currently using my earpods, for some reason everything sounds louder than it is. I want to pick up a headset for my computer but when looking on amazon, the lists are all flooded with 20 dollar headsets lol. What are some of your guy's recommendations? I prefer usb headsets but anything can be recommended.

HyperX Cloud Alpha for sure, the only reason you would want the HyperX Cloud II over Cloud Alpha is if you really really want pretty good 7.1 surround sound built into the headset (I know it's virtual surround sound but nothing is wrong with virtual surround sound and it's very good, virtual surround sound is much better than physical (headphone) surround sound).
