Good Display to pair with my 1070

I just got a gtx 1070 to replace my ailing gtx 770... And I feel like the 25" 1080p monitor I've had for many years just won't do the 1070 justice! So I wanted to ask if anyone had a recommendations for a new monitor

Preferences:

27" or larger

75hz or higher

1080p or higher

144hz is night and day difference between a 60hz monitor. I don't have much information between a 75hz and a 144hz. But I will say it's a very big change. For me 1080p is plenty, I'm not into the 4k craze even though my components are capable.

If I got a 1440p 144hz monitor, would it look terrible to turn down the resolution to 1080p when I want to play more demanding games at 144hz and turn it up to play games like stellaris at 1440p?

It depends how it scales and the pixel mapping.. down scaling on a 1440p monitor to 1080p can make things blurry. I would stick with the Asus 27inch 1080p. Unless you're really set in your ways on the 1440p stuff.

No, I think your right about 1080p being enough, I just wanted to cover my bases, thank you!
