Don't bother wasting money on an Intel Optane 16GB thingy. Just buy a sata or M.2 SSD instead.

Are you sure your motherboard/CPU even supports Intel Optane?

Which parts of that?

As far as i can find, the intel optane cache is still locked to z270/b250 and z370/b350 mobo's and you can't use the caching function on ryzen(the op has a r5 1600)

 

Intel optane wont make your hdd magically faster, it just caches some files to it, and especially the 16gb optane is pointless.
