VMware or Virtualbox

I have enough performance and RAM so it doesn't really make the dessicion easy. looking to Virtualize Ubuntu and maybe TrueOS

Virtualbox is better in my experience,but I have a crappy PC so it might be a different experience for you

Depends what features you need, VMware has more features, but only in the paid versions. I would go with Virtualbox, then VMware player if Virtualbox isn’t working.

i find VMware to be more stable and has better 3d graphics performance

on virtual box why isn't there direct 3D

Since you have Windows 10 pro (at least thats in your signature) you could just use hyperv. Tho with TrueOS that would require some tinkering  to get it to install.

Yeah I do own Win 10 Pro but I think going with 3rd party tools will be simpler

Its no more difficult or more work then any other vm software tbh. Just enable it and its done
