Sorry for formatting, I’m using my phone. Yesterday I upgraded my graphics card, worked fine, but today when I was trying to fix an issue I had with fallout, my computer started to randomly turn off. Now when I log into windows it immediately restarts. I have already reseated the new gpu, and have reset windows, as have I undid any of the changes I made when working on fallout. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your Power Supply is malfunctioning.

- How fast does it shut off after actually going through a success boot?

- How many times does it shut off?

My computer just randomly go's to a black screen, then restarts. its happened immediately after a restart, or a few hours between them.

In my personal opinion; I would check all the cables to make sure they're connected 100%. A 1000w Gold Rated PSU doesn't normally fail... but it does happen and I don't know it's age either. That being said it could be overheating ( Because it's having issues ).  That also being said if that is the case I would stop using the computer all together until you have a new one. You can severely damage your components inside with a faulty PSU.

I had the problem of a overheating PSU but then it only shut down while gaming cause only then enough power is used.
The "shutdown" was also abrupt, it just turned off like you unplugged it and no reboot on it's own.

  • I would definitely try a BIOS flash, or at least check the Bios in general if anything abnormal shows up.
  • Check temperatures of your system if possible
  • run chkdsk and memtest
    • both work while booting you you don't have a problem with you pc shutting down right after going into the OS

What brand is you Power Supply? Maybe still in warranty?
