Raspberry Pi Question

AskTJ

My question is this.

Will using a USB 3.0 SATA to USB cable be faster than a USB 2.0 SATA to USB cable? I am going to be using it in the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, which only has USB 2.0 ports. Need your answer quick!

Short answer: No.

Long answer: It doesn't matter how fast the physical interface is, the USB implementation of a Raspberry Pi is nowhere near the actual spec of USB2.0, let alone USB3.0. Changing the cables doesn't bypass the physical implementation limitation of the Raspberry Pi itself.

Edit: Also, the USB is being shared among other peripherals too..

The Internet is invented by cats. Why? Why else would it have so much cat videos?
