Hello, I'm a new builder who has decided to purchase NZXT Kraken x62 as a new cooler for this build https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/4TGTYT . After installing it, I started playing a game but all of a suddent my monitor suddently turned black and it said "Display Not Detected". I immediately restarted my pc and after that I no longer have any display on my two monitors. After a few minutes of restarting back and forth, I decided to connect my cables to my motherboard and my monitors are working again. I did another restart and checked the bios to see whether the GPU is connected or not. Apparently it is not connected. I have tried inserting my GPU to other PCI slots and it still does not appear in my BIOS. Does this mean that my GPU is dead or is there another way to fix this? I appreciate all the help and sorry for my bad english. Thank you

IS the GPU even showing signs of life? Try different PCI-e power connectors and different rails if you can.

I decided to open my pc again and tried sorting out my cables and placing the GPU into the third PCIe slot and is still not recognised

Sorry for the weird angle I’m  on my phone right now

Did you try with just one monitor.  Also there are setting in bios that set priority from onboard and GPU.  Also also there is a max resolution the Hdmi takes in the card Max Resolution: 4096x2160 @24 Hz (1.4a) so 2 monitors I imagine you just have a splitter? Runs at 24 hz

I have two monitors and it doesn’t work on both because the motherboard simply doesn’t not read the GPU as you can see on this screenshot

Is this perhaps because my PSU is not supplying enough power or my GPU just died?

It could be power supply but that should be enough to run it unless it is unstable.  Redo all power connectors and make sure everything is tight.

I have just reverted everything back to the way it wasn’t before including reusing my old case. Even so it fails to recognise the gpu. I do not have any spareness parts to test whether it’s my motherboard or gpu. Should I go to a computer repair shop instead?

What kind of thermal paste did you use?  Are any metal parts on the cooler touching the board anywhere?  Maybe do a step by step after a good cleaning with  rubbing 90 rubbing alcohol. It must be something with the install drawing power.  It is the only thing that makes sense.  Make sure the pin connectors are good.  No brackets are touching the board.  Nothing got in the cpu pins.  Other then that the cheap option is try another psu Just doesn't sound psu to me.  After that I might consider taking it to a tech.  The card is getting power hence the lights and fans.  Seems the pcie slots aren't reading the card.  Look for any swollen capacitors also.  Also pull the cmos battery and while unplugged hold the power buttong for 20 to 30 seconds as that removes any charge left in the board.

The light is working but not the fans if you mean the gpu
