First off, this is a pre built. If that's not allowed, delete this post.

My sister's PC crashed 2 days ago. It popped up the blue windows startup settings. I told it to revert to the last version of windows. After about 40 minutes it came on and everything worked except the keyboard.

After about 10 hours of trying everything, still no keyboard. I tried different keyboards, USB ports, etc. Device manager won't update drivers but it does say there is a driver error. I tried having Windows reinstall drivers by "uninstalling" the keyboard and letting the PC restart.

I've tried downloading all Acer drivers I can find.

Nothing works.. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Windows 10?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

is it a standard keyboard?

This is an Acer Keyboard, CM Devastator keyboard that came in that mouse/board bundle a while back, a serial keyboard from many years back and one other I don't remember. Only ones I haven't tried are my IBM Model F and Ducky YoTR. Lol.

ggwp windows 10 is screwing up for everybody's computer. Your best bet is to wait until microsoft releases a fix for this (might be tmrw, might take ages).

It actually pretty much destroyed both my other sister's PCs with the latest update. Had to reinstall Windows on both and they ended up losing everything except pictures as for some reason Window.old cleared itself. And one of them lost her Photoshop license which in turn halted her job that she started 2 days before. Thankfully thy were understanding of the situation.

And Microsoft could care less.

But I don't think this is related. This happened 2 days after the update and it crashed while playing a game. The GPU is one I just put in a few days ago. It was used and free. Lol.
