580 seems good. The R9 performs similarly to it, but its older and is a powerdrain. On the plussside of the R9 is that you dont need winter heating

Sorry nube question what is what do you Mena by winter heating in terms of a gpu?

It pumps out a lot of heat. In other words it uses a lot of power. Under load you could expect it to spit our 250 watts worth of heat. 

 

580 doesnt do that. R9 spits out quite a bit

Great thank you! I think I am leaning towards the 580 for sure after that advice as well
