8700k problems

Recently my 8700k at stock speeds has been acting up and reaching extremely high temps for reasons I do not know. As you can see below it was reaching nearly a 100c at 36% load, which makes no sense to me. Any help is much appreciated!

Take the cooler off and reapply thermal paste. (If possible.) Sounds like a bad heatsink mount to me.

If you just remounted it and it's having issues now, that's probably exactly what happened.
