I have turbo boost off in asus bios, and i have it set to 3.50 MHz, it says it on the top of my bios page. But when I go into windows, it tells me I'm still running at 2.80 Ghz, and in AMD Overdrive, it's saying I'm running at 3.25 GHz? Why is this? What can I do to achieve a higher clock, because my bios doesn't look like it's saving it. Should I use Overdrive to overclock? I didn't do any stability testing yet

the specs on that stupid thing (windows) dont update, no need to worry,

looks like its only running at 3.25 because it doesnt need more? or are you running a benchmark? OOPS you are indeed running a benchmark, seems weird maybe its an old benchmark wich doesnt need more than 3.25?

So which program can I use to see what I'm actually running at? Or should I just trust the bios on this one? Because when I reboot it still says 3.5GHz on top of my bios

you should run small fft's for 12-24 hours to check if its completely stable

small fft's starting now. Will get back to you in 12 hours with results! Will this be okay to leave up if I go out? It will stop automatically if something goes wrong?

Overclock in the BIOS, not with software.

Use AIDA64 or HWMonitor to check your temperatures (That's what I use for my Phenom II x6 1090T). OverDrive seems to be a bit wonky in measuring temperatures.
