I've been looking for headphones recently, and I've narrowed down my search to the Beyerdynamic DT990s. I mainly game and listen to music but occasionally watch films. In terms of games I really only play FPS' like CS:GO so hearing footsteps would be nice. I have a weird taste in music but to narrow it down I listen to EDM and popular trending songs. I'll give links to songs I like right now. Would the DT990s be a good pair of cans for my uses?

Don't get the 990s, WAY too much treble, they are one of the most painful headphones I've ever used. Get the DT880s instead.

Bah, obviously you've not tried the ATH-AD2000....man, the treble on that badboy made the treble DT990 Premium sound flat. At OP, have you personally demo'ed the DT990 (Pro or Premium) yet?

Really? The treble on the 990's never bothered me. Maybe I just got used to it.
