Problems booting with 260x

My brother got a gigabyte radeon r7 260x 2gb and when he starts the computer the screen freezes on the bios window with the code 5A on it and a "press F2 for bios settings" but pressing F2 doesnt do anything. I cant enter the bios or do anything else.

 

His specs

CPU Intel core2 extreme qx9650

Ram Corsair value select 4gb ( 2 sticks)

Motherboard. Intel DX48BT2

PSU. Corsair CX600

 

His old graphics card that worked just fine is an nvidia quadro fx 3700

He is also running two hard drives one 80gb and one 160gb

 

I cant figure out what is wrong with it and any help would be appreciated

Clear CMOS and update BIOS.

Taking out the battery is the easiest and quickest way.
