*Edit* Initial testing shows improvement when cpu is put back to default settings.  I will need to get some more time under my belt in games to know if the problem is fixed, but far cry 5 played for 5 minutes with default cpu settings where as yesterday it wouldn't play at all with gsync on.

Just had an issue start yesterday with my new monitor going black during gaming.  If I turn Gsync off it doesn't happen.

I've had this monitor for about a month AOC AGON AG352UCG and it worked just fine until the past week, I don't know if it's the gpu, monitor or a software issue.

PC:

Custom hardline loop

7600k @ 5ghz

1070FE stock speeds (water)

16gb gskill 3600

970pro nvme

Antec 750w edge

A little while ago I got the 970pro and did a system wipe and clean install, shortly after that I put the cpu from stock to 5.0ghz with no stability testing. At some point over the past few days I have noticed some screen tearing and then yesterday morning the screen went black for 4-7 seconds back to back while playing world of tanks.  Last night it was non-stop on far cry 5 so I turned gsync off with no issue.  This morning I turned gsync back on and again, black screen after a minute or two of action in world of tanks.

Considering the monitor is the newest part I would suggest that if this is hardware related.

I'm unfamiliar with how gsync works and if there could be a driver, setting or software management that could be causing this.

One last possibility is my cpu OC is not tested as stable, perhaps that's the issue but I will go to stock speeds and see what that does.

edit: I got the nvme ssd on 5/12/18 and did the new install the next day, so from then until 4-6 day's ago it has worked properly.  Monitor purchased on 4/27/18

Audio go Brrrrrr
