Hello

I recently upgraded my pc to a Ryzen 2700. After a few days i've experienced small stuttering even on the Desktop. The stuttering is more noticeable if i do something (discord, watching netflix). Neither CPU, RAM, nor GPU usage is over 50%. The issue isn't always there from the start on. Sometimes it starts directly after a restart, sometimes it takes a few hours.

When the stutter appears, only video is affected. Audio is fine.

The problem doesn't appear if i start Windows in safe mode.

Things i've already tried

  1. Reinstall Windows(Sadly i installed drivers and software again after it)
  2. Install AMD Chipset Driver manually
  3. Update GPU-drivers
  4. Cleared CMOS
  5. Installed latest BIOS update
  6. Reinstall GPU drivers

Spec

  • CPU: Amd Ryzen 2700 (no OC)
  • Mainboard: Gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING
  • GPU: Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti (no OC)
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • OS: Win 10 Pro - 10.0.17134
  • PSU: Corsair 760W

Any help is appreciated

Try uninstalling any bloatware you might have like extra stuff that comes with the drivers for your motherboard but you don't actually need.

It's definitely something software related if it's not happening in safe mode

and motherboard utilities can be pretty awful at times.

I know I pretty much don't install anything extra that comes with Asus boards because there are always problems.
