adaptive mode

hi guys when i set cpu voltage as adaptive under the turbo setting i set to 1.163v with a - offset of 0.010 then when i ran cin bench the volt goes up to 1.2 v plus why is this so isn't it suppose to be like 1.153v and idle and full load at 1.163v? Can someone guild me for this cause i heard you can save power consumption if you know how to do it thx

i using a 4790k with a asus z97-k motherboard

check the LLC settings, some board manafacturers like to throw a bit more power down the road than others, either way dont worry about it, just as long as its not like 1.5v or so its fine

LLC setting is at auto i set to regular same thing.The "throw abit of power down the road " is it something i cannot control?
