PC Freezing!!!... NEED HELP

Bozqt

PSA: Wall of text

Hi so,

I've been trying to diagnose this issue for a while now, going on at least 3-4 months... Can't seem to work out what the problem is. So, what'll happen is time to time (some times even a few times a day) my computer will freeze up and make a continuous noise, sounds like a horn I suppose and sometimes it'll look like a matrix effect on monitors 1 & 3.. 2 being my main one that the game is being played on but that never gets the matrix effect..

Initially I thought it had to do with my OC, maybe unstable or too high? So I reset that to default and the problem still persisted.. Then after a bit of Googling, thought maybe it was a GPU issue or maybe RAM. Then I reset all GPU drivers, clean installed etc and even swapped the slot the GPU was sitting in... STILL was freezing.

So I ran memtest, no errors came up, but also read that doesn't necessarily mean that there's no issue with the RAM. So I decided to start taking RAM sticks out, 1 by 1 and alternating the sticks so that 3 out of 4 were in the PC maybe trying to find a bad stick while running Firestrike to see if the PC would still freeze... Thought I had a little luck when I found that when ram stick '4' was out of the PC it wasn't freezing anymore. So what I did from there was put ram stick 4 back in the PC in slots 1 then 2 then 3, the computer was freezing continuously while running more Firestrike's... GREAT, maybe bad stick? Put sticks 1,2,3 in there respected slots ran more Firestrikes, NO FREEZES!! so I kept '4' out of the pc... But of course, after time would tell the PC started to freeze up.

I'm literally at a loss here... Can't seem to work out why my PC is still freezing after all of this. I have checked the reliability/event logs and I've seen the 'Error LiveKernelEvent: 141' come up a few times, which initially was the reason I thought bad ram and also, my temps are fine, GPU never goes over 70c even when under load. The games that it crashes on are WoW, LoL, Rust, Fortnite, Overwatch and also PUBG.

MY SPECS: ps - this is without ram stick '4' in... normally would have 32gb

The first thing i would do is make sure i have the newest BIOS version installed, as it sounds like one of those obscure issues that usually are found in some early BIOS versions of motherboards.

Do you have any custom XMP/RAM profiles set in the BIOS, and/or have you tried tweaking any settings (underclocking, or overclocking)?

My BIOS is the most up to date version. I have tried overclocking my CPU to 4.5ghz but now it's back a default. XMP profile wasn't custom that I had on, was 'profile 1' that the bios had already. But now that's default too. Never tried underclocking though.
