Help Windows and USB Mic

Good Afternoon Everyone,

 

I have a USB mic that I've been using for years and just started my new pc and for some reason Windows shows my device as a recording device and I can even manually listen to  the device but it will not record any audio for any program.  Please help..... I have already set the device to default device and installed the device in device manager and updated the drivers.....

What is the USB mic?

Have you tried the device with another computer to make sure it isn't a hardware issue?

The Mic is a Audio Technica At2020 USB - it is working on my old system and not on this new install of windwos

Well if you can hear the mic then its something to do with windows. Also, have you tried plugging it into another USB port?

yes I have and installed a 3.5mm headphone / mic to test and that does not work either
