Hello everyone, I'm doing a small company, and I buy three computers exactly the same and.....I having troubles with one computer, these are the specifications:

Processor: Ryzen 7 1700X
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 5 rev 1.0  BIOS F20
Heatsink: Cooler Master 212 EVO
RAM: DDR4 2X8 GSKILL 2666 MHZ
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
PSU: Corsair CS650M 80 Plus Gold ATX
SSD: ADATA Ultimate SU800 256GB M.2 2280
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST4000DM005 4TB 3.5 ''
Case: Cooler Master ATX N400

I built them around February and started using them to work (I had read about the incompatibility of RAM with Ryzen, but since I did not see anything too wrong while I was researching the compatibility of the pieces, I decided to buy the Gskill DDR4 at 2666 MHZ instead of one that is published as Ryzen compatible). I tried them and saw that they were working fine, but at 2133 MHZ, it did not seem like a big problem and I went to use them to work immediately. Thats the only thing odd i can remember about the built.

In March one of the computers stopped working; the previous day worked perfectly, I turned it off at night and the morning next day i have this codes looping  "65 3E 15 90" and it stayed that way, I was reading and searching everywhere and I found that if I went to the BIOS back up, I could solve the problem here and here; after disarming it and assembling it completely, I tried the backup memory method of that post and it worked again!, I started to work and forgot about the matter,

so i dont fix the main BIOS...

Three days ago, the same happened, but this time to the back up, BIOS, the same loop error code "65 3E 15 90", and now I cannot enter any of the two BIOS, the backup and the main BIOS do the same loop error, i think both are corrupted.

Can somebody help me?

@Fernando Zapatawhat about swapping ram to a different set again to see if the problem will fix itself by resetting timings?

Hi Fernando,

I am in the exact same error code cycle but with 2700 and x470 gigabyte gaming 7. One week worked perfectly.

Suddennly, it no longer worked. I did exactly like you before posting here. Switched to the backup BIOS AND worked perfectly until next power on.

Somehow the backup BIOS got corrupted also. The backup is from March 2018. Removed the battery, disassemble everything, tested with different memory and power supply with no luck.

I don't want o RMA ecause I'm no longer in country. So, pay shipping, taxes, etc.

The last thing I did was play around with Ryzen master, but nothing serious on overclocking.

Did you ever find a solution?

Thanks in advance.

  • 3 weeks later...

The same thing just happened to me (X470 Aorus WIFI 7). It was working for a while and then it began cycling (15 - EE - 90). I switched the BIOS to backup but suddenly the backup BIOS also become corrupted.

IMHO this is an issue with the new BIOS driver (the backup BIOS got the upgrade, and then started having issue), but who knows? This kind of thing never happened to me before, and I fail to understand how such high end board would be so easy to crash.

Now, I RMA to Gigabyte and I bought a new card in the meantime, since this is my work computer.

Quite pissed at the moment, too.
