ASUS Laptop RAM

Hi All,

 

I am wondering if I can upgrade to 2x8gb of ddr4-2133 ram in my laptop. Model is an asus vivobook S510UA-RS51. The model has 2 slots and it will work. Main concern is the frequency working since intel website does not state anything about ddr4-2133. 

 

Specs: 

- i5-8250u 

- 8gb ddr4-2400 (will be removing this stick and replacing with 2x8gb of ddr4-2133)

- 512gb ssd

 

EDIT: to follow up on the questions. I know the basics of ram and having to buy the laptop ram which is 260pins.

did you make sure to get laptop memory?

it has to be ddr4L

Yes you can, 16GB is the max it will support.

Yes. I know the basics of parts lol. Just curiuous cause intel says ddr-2400/lpddr3l-2133. Not really mentioning anything else.

Jump into Windows task manager. Under the RAM section check how many DIMMs are occupied. That will tell you your answer if it supports 2 sticks. 

I was too vague with the question. It has 2 slots.
