hello forums,

so today i noticed very odd behavior of certain sites on my chrome browser (particularly youtube)

a few days ago i was browsing a quite graphically enhanced site which seemed quite laggy, therefore i turned on the setting: 'hardware acceleration when available', and this made the site immediately more responsive and faster in general. today i had to reboot my modem because of a recently assigned static ip which was (presumably) conflicting with an already handed out ip-address on another device on the network. the reboot went just as normal, network fell out for a moment, but came back quickly afterwards. Except for youtube, which let me browse the site and its video's, but whenever i decided to want to watch a video, it just kept loading and loading. i tried a few more videos, but they would also refuse to play. therefore i tried to disable hardware acceleration again, and the site worked flawlessly again. even though before the modem reset, the site worked flawlessly with hardware acceleration enabled.

is there any reason or explanation for this odd behavior?

and might there be a way to fix this and to run with hardware acceleration without these types of issues?

thanks in advance
