I just started playing this the other day as it free to play this weekend. How have I not heard of this game before? It's one of the better online WWII FPS games I have played in a long time and for £2 I am definitely buying it.

Anyone else played or know of Red Ochestra 2 and what's your opinion of it?

It's in this week's humble bundle. I already bought it, and one for my brother, but between scrims in Natural Selection 2 and my social life I haven't tried it yet. It does look awesome though, game design wise. I covered this in the 'competitive FPS' thread, of which RO2 seems like one.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

After playing for quite a while I can safely say that it's one of my favorite online shooters in recent times. However, it's a rather competitive game that requires a good amount of attention and relies heavily on coordination, and there is a severe lack of coordination in most matches I play. I always see players mindlessly trying to score kills, or players who want to jump on the first chance to get a class that has an assault rifle.

The game is hyper realistic but a big problem i see with it that most of the times there's no incentive to go do the objective and it becomes the "who is best sniper with no scope" but most of the times rounds are good. I prefer the city maps and hate the one with only trenches, im also loving the map with big square in center as sniper :D.
