Help motherboard and cpu

Hi i am building a pc first time and i wonder if it's easy to overclock this cpu i7 8700k with a PRIME Z270-A. Becuse usally the letter Z behind means that i'ts compatable with overcklocking Right?

The 8700K won't work with that board, you need a Z370 board.

hmmm thx so much didn't realize that i had a motherboard that was compatebla before but where not quite pleased with it

No, while people have managed to hack the BIOS for Coffee Lake to work on Z270 boards it isn't worth the time or effort.

But i don't need crossfire and it don't match my black blue and white build  but if i cannot find somthing else i will use that

I f you don't realise you have the wrong type of chipset, you're not going to be hacking any BIOS any time soon, buy the proper board man.

No, the only Coffee Lake CPUs that people have gotten to run on older chipsets is the i3, since it's 4 cores. Not a 6 core.
