I'm assuming your headphones only use one cable for both audio and microphone.

 

You can buy a splitter for like $5-10 that will separate the mic and sound for you to use with you headphones:

my laptop has a 2 seperate audio ports 1 for mic and 1 for audio

The splitter will split the one cable coming from your headphones into an audio and mic plug for you to use:
