Hi community! This may be a dumb question but does running games at 144hz make graphics cards run a bit warmer? I recently upgraded to an 1080p 144hz monitors and have a GTX 1080 that I put an EVGA hybrid cooler on. Before I was sitting at around the upper 40C range but now I see my max temps touching the lower 50C range. I know it’s not a big deal in regard to thermal throttling or what the card can handle, I just want to make sure that my cooling is still holding up. Thanks in advance! :)

Depends on what the card was doing compared to what it is now.

I use my 1080 on 1080p now. Thus the load jumps around a lot more. The frequency doesn’t change but that isn’t what matters.

If I put my 1440 on it, the load will always be a bit higher but I have a custom loop so I don’t see a large change though it is there.
