1700 stopped downclocking

Hi friends,

 

All of a sudden my 1700 chip (overclocked using p-states) stopped downclocking itself. It used to bounce around all the time between 3.9ghz, 3ghz en 2.2ghz, now it only downclocks a tiny bit (see img). Anyone have any idea why this is? 

 

Mind you I'm 100% positive theres nothing running in the backround that makes the CPU clock high non stop (I always keep HWMonitor open on second monitor)

manual voltage control, or adaptive (as set in BIOS)?

You'd need to set P-states in the bios.

You didn't happen to update your bios did you? I know on the C6H people were reporting p-state overclocking issues with newer bios.
