Yeah but it's over priced IMO. I'll be using it to OC (heard some really nice things about Sabertooth OCing) an X5675. As an alternative, you think this would OC as well as the Sabertooth?

Your opinion doesn't really matter in this. That is the market value. You might be able to find one cheaper on Craigslist, but anyone who manages to list it accurately is going to know the market value and charge that.

 

Tldr; X58 motherboard are very expensive because of the glut of cheap 6 core Xeons.

I have found you get good results searching i7 920 motherboard.
