Discord mic issues

I recently bought some headphones with a built in mic and the mic doesn't register as a possible input device on discord. The headphones I use are KEF M400's. Help please

Do your computer register the mic and is it working outside Discord ?  Have you tried to reset the voice settings in Discord after the mic is plugged in to see if Discord picks it up ?

Good point, playback devices doesn't register it as a mic. Is there a chance that this mic doesn't work with windows and only mobile devices?

My fiance had the same problem. She tried to use earbuds whit integrated mic made for phones. The ps4 picks it up but not the computer.

Any fixes? I tried using discord mobile and it wouldn't pick up the mic. Funnily enough, Snapchat voice call works perfectly fine with the mic.

Sorry, I didn't try much. She had a Blue yeti mic laying around so we ended up using that and the earbuds for sound.  She currently lives on the other side of the planet so trouble shooting was done with text messages and pictures over Discord until I could hear her.

I guess I could try and find a mic lying around. Even if I can't, mics are cheap.
