I am building a new PC I already bought asrock b360m pro4 mobo with i5 8400 cpu P.S: is this a good combo?

the mobo details says upto 2666 MHz RAM but my question is can I buy higher than that and still use it? I have found a deal where the 3200 MHz is cheaper than 2666 MHz both of them are CL15

the RAM is on sale and only 1 pack of 2x8gb is left in stock so I am in a rush if anyone can let me know faster

thanks :)

Yes you should be able to.  It will boot at 2666 though.  Doublecheck the list of supported RAM for that board on Asrock's website to be sure.

I checked the list and it was really short, the maximum bandiwth module on that list was 2666 MHz

Then there is no guarantee, but I am betting it will work.  Just hold on to your receipt...
