i5 4570 high usage.

Hi :)

So the problem im having is that my cpu is having a very hard time doing simple tasks like watching youtube and playing games.

So when ever im watching a youtube video my cpu is hitting 90% usage!

Also in games like fortnite its doing 90-100% which is getting my game to get lag spikes causing my mouse feeling laggy.

I have tried removing all cache and cookies from google chrome.

My configuration is a i5 4570 3.6 ghz, gtx 760, 1tb wd blue, 12 gb ram and 550w xfx 80 plus bronze.

Probably not necessary, but I'd like to know what GPU do you have?

 

Also, how much RAM do you have?

 

And edit 3: can you send a screenshot of the "Startup" tab in Task Manager?

Virus Scan with Avast

Malware scan with MalwareBytes

Clean out your PC with CCleaner.

 

Hell you'd be better off at this point if you just re-installed Windows entirely.

 

and for god's sake please uninstall the programs you aren't using.

 

Got through and disable the programs you don't need on startup.
