Computer slowing down after using mods? (Kerbal Space Program)

So about a week ago I installed graphical and practical mods for Kerbal Space Program (All of which had been downloaded 100k+ times) yet even tho it sounds unrealistic my computer PERFORMS WORSE IN OTHER VIDEOGAMES yet my GPU and CPU usage is low, like 2 weeks ago (before I ever installed any form of mod for any game on my pc) I could run Star Wars Battlefront II High Settings 108% Render resolution 75 fps (V-Sync) at about 80-95% GPU usage in the menu and now Im suddenly seeing 72 fps Medium Settings 35% gpu usage (and 65% cpu usage) where it doesn't reach the V-Sync on lower graphic settings but without utilising my entire system ._.

Even tho it sounds weird, Is it possible this was caused by the mods I installed? (I will go out exercise for an hour and read/respond to any messages when Im back)

Sound more like a mod is runnning would try tham one by one and see if it stays ?
