Inkscape Question

I have a question about Inkscape.

As you can see, all the shapes are selected. I want to know how I can merge them still with all the fills. Neither Union or Difference worked with this. How do I accomplish this?

A fill is unique for one object. If you merge them they'll get the same fill (one color). You can group them though

I make Rainmeter things and other art :D

Grouping is rather general term. It means that you make multiple objects act as one. It won't change properties of objects in any way (not shape, size or relative location to each other). Also while grouped objects act as one for resizing and moving. But to change anything in any of objects you need to un-group them. (this knowledge based on Sketchup, Office Word, PowerPoint and Publisher)
