Computer wont post

Go to solution Solved by seon123,

Is the BIOS on the motherboard updated? Broadwell is 1 full gen newer than Z87, so you might want to check that.

Hey, some friends and i are building a new computer for a friend of ours as he's current pc is useless. We've gathered all the parts and put them all together but it wont post. I've tried to switch the ram slots, and tried different ram modules. I've also tried to clear the cmos, different gpu's en psu's, but nothing will work. There are no loose screws of cables. We bought the motherboard of a seller on ebay who claims to have tested it and says its fully functional. At this point i dont know what to do.

the parts are:

i7 5775c

16 Gb of hyperX ddr3 ram

asrock z87 extreme3

2x GTX 690

IDK how SLI works with 690's as your now working with 4 680's which probaly isn't going to do that well in games anyways

Try with iGPU first then add each GPU in

I've tried with just one of the 690's and i've also tried with the cpu's graphics, still no luck
