Applications keep crashing

Go to solution Solved by danielsuarez369,

Also, if that doesn't solve it then it's most definitely a hard ware problem. Do you have any other ram sticks you can try? Or have you overclocked them? I see no incompatibility issues when I recreate your system in pcpartpicker. Care to run any of these?: https://www.lifewire.com/free-memory-test-programs-2626178

Mobo: B350 Tomahawk

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

GPU: GTX 1060 6gb

RAM: 2x4gb DDR4 Corsair Dominator Platinum 300mhz

PSU: 850w bronze (not sure what model)

HDD: 1tb (not sure what model)

OS: Windows 10

All of my games (PUBG, Darkest Dungeon, and Hearthstone) will work fine for an hour or so and then eventually crash with no error message. When I reopen the games they only stay open for a few minutes before crashing again. Google Chrome has an issue which causes my screen to go black for a few seconds, and if there is a video playing it will stay black with a green box in it (image provided). These issues started happening when I got my new cpu, mobo, and ram. I originally thought it was a gpu issue, because overwatch would crash and say "rendering device lost", but I recently replaced my gtx 950. I am now leaning more towards RAM, because one of my sticks can only go up to 2866mhz. I already wiped my harddrive and fresh installed windows. I just want a second opinion before I replace anything.

Tell me if it works, I got a few other ideas on what could be wrong.

I thought it worked for a while, but it didn't. Unlucky.

Download Portable Windows Repair (all in one) from one of the following:

www.tweaking.com/files/setups/tweaking.com_windows_repair_aio.zip

http://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/tweaking_com_windows_repair_portable,1.html

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/windows-repair-all-in-one/

Unzip the contents into a newly created folder on your desktop.

Boot your system to Safe mode, instructions here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Open the Tweaking.com folder, run the tool by right click on Repair_Windows (icon with red briefcase) select "Run as Administrator"

From the main GUI do the following:

Select Tab 5 to make Registry backup, use the recommended option...

When complete select "Repairs" tab, from there select "Open Repairs" tab..

From that window select the default option and checkmarck "Select All" box. When ready select "Start Repairs" tab....

When complete re-boot your system to Normal mode, see if there is any improvement...

Credit to kevinf80 who proposed this fix to my PC a long time ago and it fixed everything, you can find him here: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/profile/3601-kevinf80/
